Course Description: In the era of COVID-19, it has been a challenging time for ABA business owners.  Many ABA business owners have struggled to keep their doors open to their agencies or clinics and are now trying to figure out the future of how to return back to a “new normal” in the ABA business world.  This 4-week course sequence will address some of the key issues and concerns of ABA business owners returning back after COVID-19 including ethical and professional issues, resetting goals and reexamining ABA business models from an OBM perspective, employee performance management with remote working, and supervision related issues in behavior analysis during this time.  These courses will offer recommendations to ABA business owners in how to overcome some of these challenges during this transitionary period.
Course Learning Objectives and Weekly Schedule:

Week 1: 8/17/20 from 12pm-1pm EST (1 General Learning CEU)
Resetting Goals and Reexamining Your ABA Business Model: Creating Financial Stability in a Post-COVID World
Learning Objectives: 
  1. Complete an assessment of your business model
  2. Identify appropriate goal setting methods towards resetting your organization's goals

Week 2: 8/24/20 from 12pm-1pm EST (1 General Learning CEU)
Is Remote Working Here to Stay? Ways to Reshape Your ABA Company Culture and Increase Staff Enjoyment
Learning Objectives
  1. Identify strategies for maximizing your training efforts with remote employees
  2. List components of a performance management culture for remote workers

Week 3: 8/31/20 from 12pm-1pm EST (1 Supervision CEU)
ABA Supervision: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly in a Post-COVID World
Learning Objectives
  1. Identify challenges for employees seeking BCBA certification hours
  2. List strategies for accruing supervised hours
  3. Define strategies of ongoing supervision for employees already certified towards maintaining high degree of integrity

Week 4: 9/14/20 from 12pm-1pm EST (1 Ethics CEU)
Ethics, Professionalism, and Law: What ABA Business Owners Need to Know About Re-Opening After COVID-19
Learning Objectives
  1. Identify key BACB® Ethical and Compliance standards that apply to an “ethical re-opening”
  2. List professional and legal considerations for employees to return to work with high degree of satisfaction and preparedness
